Bought New Windows XP O/S disk and can't

Get it to register/activate my new windows disk, the information under the
general tab the tab with the ID under seems to be my information from my last
windows CD. I am going nuts and I really need this to work. Any help would be
great. Some info, I have to drives C: (Slave and 40G) and D: (Master 120G) I
decided to put my OS on my C: so I can have the other for my music, pics etc,
it used to be on my D:. I just don't know what is going on. I typed in the
correct ID number of the COA on the envelope. I tried follwoing the
instructions on updating the key but it is not working. I just need help I
want to get my computer up and running again and put all my stuff back on it.

In the registration window,select phone installation,have the screen active,
then call 888 571 2048 If it works great,otherwise a microsoft tech will
come

Does it matter which Drive is the Master or Slave? LIke I said my Master
Drive was where I used to have my O/S but I don't need that big of a drive
for my system.
