I have recently been bombarded by this
annoying "bottomframe class" while searching. this
annoying bar at the bottom innevitably freezes up the
machine as i am constantly trying to close it. Does
anyone have any idea how to disable this completely
because i am about to change browsers.

I am not clear what you mean by BottomFrame "class". Are you talking about
the "Tip of the Day" frame that appears at the bottom? If so it can be
removed by going to Favorites>Explorer Bar>Tip of the Day.
If this is not it, it could be an install from spyware. Have you run any
spyware/hijack detection? It sounds like some search assistant tool, that is
notorious it seems from spyware programs, but are installed with such things
as E-bay and Yahoo! Toolbars.
Http://spysweeper.com is one option, but searching here for spyware, or
hijack, in your newsgroup search may yield alternative spyware cleaning
programs. Many are free too.

Hope this helps--
