Borders in embedded excel worksheet does not print in Word

Does anyone know how to make the borders in an embedded worksheet in word to
show in printed copy? They are shown/displayed in word but they do not
print. I would like to maintain it in excel due to the calculations and many
updates.

In Excel, on the Sheet tab of Page Setup, under Print, check Gridlines.

Actually it is not the gridlines. Some cells are defined with single borders
or double lines to show accounting totals at the bottom. It is this
formatted cells that show on the screen but they do not print on hardcopy.
