I run bootvis.exe from its location C:/boot/bootvis.exe,
computer reboots,bootvis runs at startup.

BOOTVIS shows following error message:

"Number of physical drives in the trace file is 0. Trace file has
invalid system configuration"

Here's what computer drives look like:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="C Disk Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="D Disk Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect

other disk in computer does not have OS installed in it, just files.

After bootvis fails (no data or graphs appear, there IS a
TRACE_BOOT_1_1.BIN of about 12MB. I looked at it using quick view
plus- no ascii text in this file that I could find. It is not obvious
to me how to display this file from bootvis or why bootvis is failing.

Help please

I'm not an expert in this, but does this mean you have XPPro installe
on partitions C AND D ? Anyway I have bootvis installed on my C Driv
but in a folder under Program Files called PTools as it says in the tx
file that goes with bootvis. If you don't have the txt file I coul
send it to you
