Bootup Problem

I am using Ultimate 32 bit, when I trun on my computer and bootup. Sometime
an error screen appears, the message display "problem on file", sometime like
that. Normally, the file name are "WinLoad", "NTSFxxxx", then 2 choice
there, press "Enter" to continue or "ESC" to reboot for running Installation
disc for repair.

If press "Enter" to continue, the system can go to system normally.

If I select "ESC", then run repair. But the problem will come again.

Does anyone know what's the problem? How to sove it?

Thank you in advance

You have some corrupted files by whatever way I cannot tell you but you need
to go the repair route, But if that does not work the re-load Vista.

Once again, the OP says he tried repair so you advise him to try repair,
well duh, and then the most famous Fanboy solution of all... yes,
reinstall Windows.

Eric, it sounds like a number of things could have gone wrong so let's
try and prevent the obvious ones happening again.

File corruption is common when power fails or when users turn off power
without following the proper shutdown. Are you aware of any unusual
things like this that may have happened.

File corruption can also be caused by bad hardware such as RAM that's
been added but is not compatible with what was already fitted. Of course
the drive itself could also be failing. Do you see any pattern if the
machine is recently used or is it better if it has been left off for a
long time?

What we don't want you doing is a full reinstall and all the setting up
only to find the problem is still there, so although you may have to
reinstall in the end we can try and find the "Cause" of your troubles.

Mention anything like power outages, any shutdowns not using the Vista
button and how old the machine, drives and memory are.

Thanks for replies,

It is new machine and I always shut it down in proper way. That why I
question about this problem. In facts, such problem does not affactting me
much. Just take few more minutes to boot. But i really worry that the
machine could not bootup and I lost all my data. Actually I backup it often,
but not daily.

The configuation of my machine is Intel E6600, 2G Ram, 1 DVD-RW and 1
CD-ROM, 2 Western Digit 1x0G Hard drive running on RAID 0, 380W Power Supply.

Thanks again
