Bootup hangs with Dell's D/Dock and myLatitude D400 notebook

Occasionally the system boots up without any problem while connected
to the D/Dock with port replicatorsbut most of the time it just hangs
during the boot process. To get around this, I have been booting up my
laptop and then putting it to Hibernating mode, connecting it to the
D/Dock and then recovering from Hibernation. This seems to work most
of the time but now and then it also hangs. Is there a way to diagnose
what is causing the system to hang? I'm running XP Pro.

TIA

Hi

Have you called Dell support for the solution
Have you read the user manual for the restrictions using D/dock
