yeh, but kind of hard to understand how you came to the conclusion that you
need a boot time defrag.

In addition to the pagedefrag suggested to you, I think that systemmechanic
provides a boot time defrag which engages in dos mode and before windows
launches....

Is Systemechanic trust worthy?

I remember early versions of windows had a dos defrag command for boot up.

Yeh, it sounded like the option you were famaliar with according to your
original posting. As far as trustworthiness.... well I don't beleive that
a reputable company would release a software if it were not.

However, if you buy any software that is bootleg, ie, software indicating
free product keys, free with key generators, etc..., then it is likely they
have been sabotaged. Any software offered for fee with key generators are
likely to generate keys of the malicious kind.....

I still use systemmechanic 5 eventhough version 6 is out. But i have used
version 6 as a trial and wasn't impressed enough to spend any more money on
an upgrad. But it's handy because it has lots of features that are
convenient to use... I think version 6 is even free after rebates if you buy
it from compusa or circuit city... don't remember which one.

I also use the pagedefrag that was recommended to you. It is trustworthy,
in my experience.

Ok....thanks...............
I'm always hoping I can find a way to speed up my boot time doing something
useful.
