Booting XP

I tried to upload some software for my mobile pc smartphone. the software
called for me to reboot and when I did it gets stuck in the booting process
when the blue screen comes up.

I've tried using a boot disc that came with my laptop but it hasnt worked.
I've also tried booting in safe mode and I get the same results. I'm trying
to avoid doing a complete factory restore is there anything i can do short of
factory restore?

try a repair installation


(google for instructions...it's easy)
