Booting from DVD drive Windows XP Professional

How can I boot up from a CD I place in my DVD drive? My computer currently
checks the floppy drive then immediately boots from the hard drive, bypassing
the DVD drive.

Set the Boot order in your BIOS.

Don't know how? RTFM!

The order in which the computer checks the various possible boot
devices in set in the BIOS. You need to change that order by
editing the BIOS.

If you don't know how to get into the BIOS to edit it, here's my
standard reply on that subject:

How to get into your BIOS depends, not on Windows, but on what
motherboard/BIOS you have. As a matter of fact, you have to
access the BIOS before Windows even starts to boot. One common
way is to press the Del key when you first power on, but that's
not necessarily right for your computer. Watch the screen
carefully when you first boot; there's often a message there
telling you what to do. If not, check your system documentation
or check with your vendor.

Or just try the Del key. There's a good chance that's correct for
you.
