A week ago I was able to see virtual tours of homes on the internet. This
week explorer boots me right off the internet. I've reset everything to
factory settings, but not sure what to do next! I'm running xp and microsoft
2000

By "explorer" do you mean internet explorer ( There is windows explorer and
internet explorer.)? Also what is microsoft 2000? Do you mean Microsoft
Office 2000 (there is also Windows 2000, the OS)?

What is the malware status of the computer? How do you check for it? Here
are some links for dealing with malware.

Otherwise I suggest you post to the internet explorer newsgroup and provide
more information such as what version of internet explorer, how do you
connect to the internet, what changed between the time things worked and
now, etc. I have included a link with info on how to make a good newsgroup
post.

Thanks for helping someone who is NOT computer literate. Yes I do believe
that is windows explorer (isn't that loaded as default with xp?) and yes
microsoft office 2000......but I'm assuming since these are programs, do not
effect my use of windows explorer. I'll go to the other newsgroup, thank you
for you kindness and post, unlike the other person that thinks WTF is going
to be helpful. Have a great week. You've been very considerate and
thoughtful with your time.

You're welcome. I would suggest the first thing to do is a thorough check
for malware following the links I gave. Also it would be internet explorer.
Good luck.
