Bootable Windows XP CD-ROM

I was wondering if the Windows XP Pro (W/SP2) CD-ROM is supposed to be
bootable... If not, can it be made bootable?
 
Hmmm. My BIOS is set to look for the CD, but it still somes up as not
bootable. The GUI if run from inside windows comes up normally, however, I
need to be able to run this from boot...
 
The cd is set as first boot device?
Tried the cd in someone elses PC?
You can abort, just need to check the cd is ok
 
If you have more than one cdrom/dvdrom drive try the other drive(s). Only one
drive is actually bootable depending on how its cabled inside.
