I recently bought I system with Microsoft XP Professional
pre-installed. I already had to take it to a data
specialist to recover my files. I know if I had a copy
of a legit XP version I could restore the system myself

So my question is that I saw something on the windows
site that would make you have a boot disk with 6 floppy
disk. When windows won't boot, could I use this disk to
make my system boot, or will these disk erase my hard
drive?

Please let me know

Actually the floopy disks are used for people with machines that are unable
to boot from the cd. If you insert these all you will get is the setup
program. They will not boot your machine to the desktop.

Next question is your comment 'I know if I had a copy
of a legit XP version I could restore the system myself' I'm slightly
puzzled here. Do you have a legal copy of XP on your machine or is it a
pirate copy? If it is a legal copy then people will be willing to help you.
If it is a pirate copy then, i'm sorry, but i for one, cannot help with
advice or informtion other than i have already given.
