Me too. But during the install I got 2 messages about
being unable to copy the file smss.exe, continue/cancel,
to which I dumbly selected continue. I rebooted to the
repair console and copied smss.exe from
winnt\$servicepackuninstall$ to winnt\system32. That got
me booted back up and I uninstalled SP4. Then I tried to
reinstall it, and had no problem updating smss.exe, but
now winlogon.exe generates errors just before the login
screen, and the system reboots. Endless loop. Now I'm
screwed because I can't even get into it in safe mode
without it crashing.
