Boot to USB

It really is a pity that you are so dense, have a completely closed mind,
cannot understand what others are saying, so insult them, and don't know the
difference between 'booting' and loading However,
there is some salvation for people like you with those attributes: you would
be an outstanding manager for places like K-Mart, Wal-Mart or any
supermarket.

You are the dense one who doesn't understand and who won't listen to
what others are trying to tell you. You do not need a C drive to boot
an NT operating system. Windows XP can be installed and booted on a
drive other than C, for that matter there is no need at all to even have
a C drive and there are many installations out there without C drives.

You appear to be stating that it is impossible to boot anything off a
USB device, which is clearly not the case as almost all new computers
can boot off USB devices. Then to try to bolster your uninformed
notions you tell us that "the system HD MUST be C", which is absolutely,
plain and simply not true, there is no need whatsoever to even have a
"C" drive to boot Windows XP.

The confusion here is the term booting versus loading. When I say booting I
refer to booting up the operating system. I know programs, data, pictures
etc. can be loaded from the USB. I.E. You load the flash drive you do not
boot it.

The point very simply is that it doesn't support it. Don't confuse load with
boot.

Do you also refuse to believe that the bios can boot off a pxe enabled
netcard, even though it's widely used?

Perhaps you should elaborate and tell us what those terms mean, tell us
more about the process.

Boot refers to loading a program which in turn loads an operating system.
Load is loading a program, data, pictures etc.

Then I'm not confused, I guess.
