Boot taking toooooo Long, a little help?

When I boot, the HP Splash screen(Invent) stays open about 30 seconds
before windows XP finally boots. Please tell me how to make this wait
shorter, Please

Charles, sometimes you have to examine what programs start automatically
everytime you boot up. To do that go to
Start>Run type: msconfig select Startup Tab and uncheck any program
that you no longer want to start up automatically. Also if you are not doing
this check for spyware, trojans, adware. You can use these free utilities
