I just finished installing XP Pro on a laptop. After getting into Explorer I
found that it was labeled drive E not C. There is NO drive C. Is there a way
to relabel the drive to C? Maybe by doing a repair from the CD? I know you
can't change it in disk manager. I'd rather not have to reinstall as I just
spent 3 hours getting to this point.

Thanks,

Steve

I'm afraid the only way to do it and get it right is to reinstall XP.
Do you have a zip or other drive connected to the laptop (smart card
reader, etc)? If so, make sure there is no disk or card in those during
the install of XP.

That was the problem. There was a memory card reader installed and I didn't
know it. I'll reinstall right now.
