Boot Screen Shows Windows 2000 Professional Twice

I recently performed a reinstall of Windows 2K Prof on a workstation. Now,
when I cold boot the machine it asks me to select an operating system, but
the two choices are both Windows 2000 Professional. I had this happen once
with Windows 98 and found an article in the Knowledge Base that gave me the
registry line that needed to be corrected. However, I haven't been able to
find a similar instruction for Win 2K. Can anyone provide me with the
instructions?
 
You can edit the boot.ini file and remove the duplicate entry or simply do this:

Control Panel > System > Advanced [tab] > Startup and Recovery [button]. In the
System Startup section, select the configuration that boots properly from the
drop down list.

Uncheck "Display list of operating systems.....". Click on OK till you're out.
