Boot program with Chkdsk and scandisk for USB Drive?

Hi,

I like to know if there's a boot program (DOS?) with programs like check
disk and scan disk that I can installed into a USB Drive.

I need to run these programs b/c my XP laptop get the "UNMOUNTABLE VOLUME"
blue screen during bootup and I don't have a diskette or CDRW drive to burn
the programs on.

I need to be able to boot from a USB drive.
