Boot Problem

Hi.

I currently run a dual-boot system with XP home, and
MAndrake 9.0. I ran into a problem recently where it
didn't boot correctly. I tried loading a WIN 98 set-up disk
onto my XP/Mandrake box. Doh! Now, I cnanot get into
either XP, or Mandrake. I've tried re-installing Mandrake,
another copy of XP Pro, Win 2000, booting from the XP home
floppy boot disks.
NOTHING has worked. I only have internet access with
another hard disk running Fedora linux. Please help.

Hi,
you have a problem with the boot loader.
in the 1st partition where you have xp Home,repair/reinstall xp.
Perform an In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP

Then you try reinstalling mandrake in that partition where you have
mandrake.

Since you have a WinXP CD try a fix from the Recovery Console. Check here

Thank you both, for your help. I did, however, try th
recovery cd. It didn't work. :-( I'll try the re-install
of xp.
