Boot Problem

T

tmort

I was not able to boot up and was having an error in the bios so I
installed a new motherboard, Biostar P4M80-M4 thinking this would help.

I got the board installed and it beeps once which means the POST is OK.
It starts to boot and then I get a screen asking if I want to boot
windows normally, boot in safe mode, in DOS, with the last config to
work, etc.

Regardless of what I select I come back to this screen.

I have a BIOS POST card and the last message is FF which means the
flash program was successful, BIOS is going to restart Runtime code is
uncompressed in F000 shadow ram.

Thanks for any help

You cannot simply transplant a motherboard and expect Windows to
work again :)

You need to reinstall Windows and install the CD that came with
the motherboard.

(Keep in mind, that if you were using an OEM version of Windows,
you might not be able to re-activate Windows on your new
motherboard!)

Try to boot normally; if that does not work try safe mode. You might have to boot with an installation CD and do a repair. If all else fails you will have to reinstall windows.
