Andrew

I have one computer running Win2k perfectly and i am
trying to set up my other computer to run Win2k. Recently
i could not get my computer to boot Win2k it would only
boot a tiny bit and then it would
say /WINNT/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM.ced missing or corrupt.
I managed to fix this problem but now i can't get my
computer to stop booting, it boots windows restarts and
boots windows again and again and again until i switch it
off? Can anyone help me out?

Try booting into safemode. If you can make it into
safemode:
1) right-click "My Computer"
2) left-click "Properties"
3) select the "Advanced Tab"
4) choose "Startup and Recovery"
5) under the "System Failure" area uncheck
the "Automatically Reboot" box.

Hopefully that should stop it from rebooting itself and
you can continue with your trouble-shooting.

I booted into safemode but it still did not same thing it
kept rebooting. I can't get into my computer to stop it
rebooting because i can't get to my desktop at all. I
think the boot hangs on mup.sys but i'm not sure. Got any
other sugestions?

Thanks
