Boot Options

I recently had to go into Safe Mode then do a clean boot. Since then,
whenever I boot the computer, I get the screen asking me to choose boot
options before it starts up. It times out after a few seconds if I don't
press enter for a normal boot, and boots up normally, but this is agravating
nonetheless.

I restored all the settings in the msconfig (Normal Boot and enabling the
services, etc.)

Is there some way to set it so it doesn't do this anymore?

What do you mean by "clean boot"? Do you mean "clean install" (which is
very different from a clean boot)?

In that case, regardless of what you think you did, you did *not* do a clean
reinstallation.

Please describe exactly what steps you took.

Actually, for the clean boot, I went to Symantec's instructions. In
msconfig, I chose Selective Startup, then unclicked everything except Load
Systems Services. Then, in the Services tab, clicked Hide All Microsoft
Services and then Disable All.

When I was finished, I returned to msconfig, checked Normal Startup, then in
the Services tab, Show All Microsoft Services and Enable all, then Apply & OK.

Then restart.

What did I not do right?

Looks pretty close to me, but you may want to look at these:
