Hi I'm having trouble getting a bootable cd to work. I have a AMD 64
processor and decided to d/l Linux. I made a bootable cd with Nero and set my
bois to boot from cd. But when trying to boot I got a message saying:
MemoryManager Error (EMM386.EXE). So I started looking into it and came to
the conclusion I had to partition my HD to do it. I d/l'd the software Ranish
Partition Manager 4.40 ( I picked 4.40 because there was a tutorial link next
to the d/l explaining how to partion with .40). I used Nero again to make a
bootable cd with Ranish software and restarted my pc. To my amazement I got
the same error message. I think I've sort of located the problem to DMA but
have come to a dead end, can someone please help me?
