Boot disk problem

whenever I boot to DOS with the start-up disk, I am not
giving the ability to access my hard drive. It is keeping
me from fixing a possible virus. My virus software keeps
displaying pop-ups that there is a virus but when I run
the scan, there is not one found. I believe that I have
already fixed the infected file, but need to run a
program in "pure" DOS-mode before that pop-up will stop.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I am not sure why I
can't access my hard drive using the boot disk.

Hi

Have you got a Win ME Emergency Boot Disk - if so, boot your system with that and select option 4 'Minimal' - then change to your hard disk. If you haven't got an ME EBD, you can download the files from www.bootdisk.com
