I ordered a sony pcv rx 590g online 18 mos. ago. my
hard drive became corrupt and I replaced it...here is the
problem...I installed a new Western Digital and utilized
the system recovery disks supplied by the mfg...However,
while updating from Microsoft and Sony, in an attempt to
get my computer back to where it was, I have encountered
an error "boot disk failure...insert system boot disk".
There is no system boot disk supplied with bundled
software. I have spent hours with the Sony people and
they can't help. The problem happened yesterday after I
had downloaded the Microsoft updates and from Sony's
DVDIT LE. Is it possible for there to be a conflict in
the downloads that would cause the error? If so how do I
fix the problem because it won't boot up. I have
referenced the knowledge base but no help
