Boot Disc/Reinstalling XP

Upon starting my computer (Compaq Presario 700 series Laptop) Windows XP will
not boot up; I am getting an error message saying (NTLDR is missing). So I am
trying to reinstall my XP Home Edition via the six boot discs. After
inserting the second disc I get an error message stating (NTKRNLMP.EXE Error
code 7). Can anyone help me to correctly reinstall Windows XP? Thank you all

hits, also look at:-
