Here's one for you...
Always boots in safe mode. Sometimes boots normally.
Error Message 7026 indicates a bootdriver failed to load.

Problem began cropping up after I attempted to unload
Symantic antivirus software. I notice that it is still
trying to unload the program... have attempted to manually
uninstall acording to Symantic's instruction. Still seems
to attempt to load. Also seems to relate to Nvidea's
drivers. Have TI 4600 by Asus, and latest drivers
installed. AMD 2000+ and Soyo Dragon platinum with 4x agp.

I wonder if i confused Norton antivirus with NVidea's
driver in Registry and deleted the wrong key, but then why
does it boot sometimes and run stabliy until next reboot?

"Fascinating" problem. Would like to avoid a reinstall of
Windows. System restore doesn't seem to fix the problem.
Very puzzling...

Anyway if someone is up to a challenge, would you like to
help? Can send registry perhaps...

i would try 2 things.....
1. reload Symantic antivirus software and then
uninstall it though the NAV uninstall program (
start>programs>norton antivirus>uninstall

2. try a 'REPAIR' installation of windows you need a win
xp disk and follow the instructions here
www.dougknox.com goto the winxp tips link and find the
link (How To Do a "Repair Installation")

good luck Mike
