Brad Allison

I need some advice. I started with Visual Basic .NET Step-by-Step by
Halverson (including Visual Basic .NET Standard). I also have gone through
ADO. NET Step-by-Step. What should my next book(s) be? Today I now have
the full version of Visual Studio .NET Professional. I program with visual
basic.

Thanks for the information.

Hi Brad,

I keep it with MSDE the VB.net resourcekit to show me things and the aspnet
SDK 1.1

In that is in my opinion much more information than in a book.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/vbrkit/default.aspx
And if you have problems installing it
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/vbrkit/faq/#installvdir

SDK aspnet
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A6-3647-4070-9F41-A333C6B9181D&displaylang=en

There is also a new aspnet resource kit, I have slightly looked at it, but
for VB it looks to me almost that it has the same articles as in the VB.net
resource kit.

To add something to this message.

In the dotnet.general newsgroup are often guys who want to tell that
Microsoft sucks.
Normaly I do not answer on that, but one told something as:

"Did you see that on the top 25 list programmer booklist no vb.net book is
listed?"

My answer was that msde was very good.

Mostly you get than a long message but this time the answer was,
"Yes a quiet intelligent answer"

I hope this helps,

Cor
