Is there a book that you would recommend that would give a good
overview of computers, how they work, how to repair them, different
operating systems, how to properly format hard drives, etc....

Hi Ralph,

No one book would encompass everything. Pick your subject matter, and for a
good starter, look for one of the "... for dummies" series. They're actually
quite good.

Then there is the "Complete Idiot" series. But I have a question. Are
these books for complete idiots are are they complete for the basic idiot?
