Book fold printing problems

I am in the process of creating a book fold pamphlet (actually a wedding
program). I had it printing properly when it was 16 pages but I made some
addtitions and as soon as I got to 20 pages, it no longer prints properly. I
have tried everything I can think of and have read all the posts. Is it
possible there is some formatting within the document that's messing it up
(like a section break or page break)? I have tried different page
configurrations (like all, auto, 16 and 20) and none print right. I have
tried manual and auto duplex print modes. No luck. The print out is wrong
from the first sheet as page 1 prints on the left instead of the right side
of the sheet so I know right away that it's messed up. It's rare that I get
hung up this badly but I just can't figure out why this won't work properly.

When all else fails, I just drop back to the manual method described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm. Alternatively, for
a booklet this short, you might want to change the setting from "Book fold"
to "2 pages per sheet." This will give you the identical layout options
(your layout and pagination should not change), but you'll have to take care
of the page order yourself: that is, when you go to print, you'll have to
enter the page numbers to be printed as 20, 1, 2, 19, 18, 3, etc. There's
also a macro available from the Web page referenced above that handles this
automatically. I have not used this macro and can't vouch for it, however.

Turns out 2 pages per sheet wouldn't print properly either. Typing in 20,1,
etc. simply printed the who document in normal page order. I'll try a few
more things beofre I do the macro. I'm trying to figure out what assumptions
the program is making in hopes that I can come up with a solution that always
works without work arounds.

Printing only page 1 prints page 3. I page numbered the document and page 1
is really the third actual page of the document. It is not recognizing the
actual page 1 which is the booklet cover. It also appears that the first two
pages are considered only one and the only potential reason I can see is
there is a section page set-up difference. The cover is vertically centered
and the remaining pages are aligned to the top vertically. This is baffling.

If the document contains more than one section, you must include the section
number. See the "Printing specific pages and sections" portion of the "Print
a document" Help topic and/or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/PrintMultipleSections.htm

I did finally get this to work in book fold mode. The trick was in making
sure the section breaks were done with extreme care. Things you normally get
away with and have it print right appear to confuse book fold. I had an issue
with a continuous section break followed immediately by a page break. I
replaced both with a Next Page section break and that cured my problem.
By the way, I should have said I'm using Word 2007 Beta 2. Looks like there
may not have been an improvement in this feature in the new Word 2007.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Oh, well Word 2007 Beta has its own constellation of printing problems
generally, so all bets are off if that's what you're using!

I'm having problems printing a booklet in Word 2007 - everything is fine until after page 6? It then goes to page 17. I did use cut at paste to create this document, so it seems to me that it has to be a formatting issue, but what are they and/or how do you fix this? There are no page/section breaks at this point, so I know that's not it, but what IS it? Thanks in advance, hoping to find a pro who can help ASAP!
