blurry preview and play back

When i capture video from either of my cameras it is blurry. i have tried
different cords, computers and programs. How can i fix this problem

You don't say what cameras, pc's, cables and capture file type.
For an exact copy of minidv camcorder files you need to capture as dv-avi,
using firewire.

Even then, MM shows a low resolution preview and only every other frame, so
it won't look as good in movie maker.
