Blurred video on import

Hi
when I download the video from my sony dv camera using firewire into avi format, it is pretty blurred in scenes where the camera is being moved. when playing the same tape from the camera directly on TV, nothing like that occurs. I tried several different computers, including 3ghz HT pentium 4 with 640mb ddr ram, same result everywhere. i also tried windows media encoder, same there too. what's wrong

The motion artifacts you describe may simply
be due to the fact that you are watching
interlaced video on a non-interlaced monitor.
