Hi, I have just installed a serial Bluetooth device on
my PC. The adapter was installed and is using the WinXP
SP2 drivers. The PC has detected the device and I can see
that it has allocated an incoming and outgoing com port.
I can also see both Bluetooth addresses. When the device
was detected and added I selected "No passkey" as the
device dosen't/can`t use one. When I try to communicate
with the device using Hyperterminal or in another serial
way I get a balloon message informing me that a device is
trying to communicate with my PC and to click on it. When
I do so it asks for the passkey for the device? But...as
stated it dosen`t use one and I had already selected no
passkey when adding using the wizard.
Q. How can I disable the passkey required function on
WinXP SP2, I have looked everywhere and tried various
things to no avail.
Thanks Stuart
