Bluetooth mouse

I'm looking to get a blootooth mouse to get rid of the cord my optical
uses (I'll just need to get a bluetooth USB dongle). I find the optical
wireless doesn't work on glass surfaces. Is this the same with
bluetooth? Any good recommendations for a good bluetooth mouse? Thanks!

Yes, bluetooth does nothing to improve tracking of the mouse
itself. Bluetooth is actually worse than the same
non-bluetooth cordless mouse (series) because it drops the
signal more often, but this might be only considering use
with laptops having integral bluetooth, not the separate USB
dongle.

Do you need the dongle for other bluetooth devices though?
If not, getting the bluetooth version is just a waste of
money.

Logitech mice have been very competitive over the last few
years, that's where I'd look first if your hand likes the
shape of their offering(s). IOW, it's good to try the mouse
at a local store to be sure you like it's shape.

Bluetooth mice track the same as optical mice.
I have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and it is excellent.
It works with the Bluetooth built-in to my laptop so I didn't need the
bluetooth dongle and gave it away.
I often remote my laptop to a very large LCD TV screen in another
room, and I can sit in front of that using the bluetooth mouse, with
the computer 5 metres away and it works fine.
