Blue screens?

I have all versions of Vista that have been available to CPP.
I have never once had a crash or a blue screen yet I hear people that do.
Seeing as we all install the same versions then obviously any problems are
down to hardware.
I am just wondering whether this is to do with the build quality of my
laptop being particularly good, or others having particularly bad hardware.
I have an Acer Aspire 3613, 6 months old.
As smooth as a baby's bum I should say.

Well, the majority of BSOD's can be traced back to driver issues. Next up,
IMHO, would be hardware problems, i.e., a hard drive going south. I have had
relatively few BSOD's on the four PC's on which I'm running Vista. It's
still BETA software. As they say, "Your milage may vary." Apparently, you're
getting pretty good milage.

Now that you mention it- I have only had one
BSOD, and that counts two different machines.

I was trying to get my river player to work
in Build 5384, I plugged/unplugged it into the
USB slot several times- Vista didn't like that,
gave me a blue screen. I did finally get it to
work.

Frankly, BSOD has been a very rare occurrence
on any of my computers running XP Pro, except
on one computer that I routinely torture .

Now that you mention XP, I don't think I have ever had a blue screen in XP
in 5 years of use.
