Lately I ve been getting blue screen errors , my latest is stop ox0000007e
(0xc0000005,0x805c607b,0xf78e693c,0xf78e6638). Now I know the second
parameter is the address of where problem is but how do I find it. What is
this error and what is the fix.

Have you added some new hardware/driver? Start in safe mode and find
the cause.

You said on the 27/07/2007 that this happen when you close AOL and I did
reply to your Post?.
this always refer to a bad Hardware/driver installed.
Read this articles and see, but how did you get rid of the Contra?.

Open a run command and type in these commands to see if there is a conflict
in /among drivers :
pstat.exe click [OK]
dmpchck.exe click [OK]

Try to use the Verifier.exe command to see which Drivers not Verified on
your system:

You may have a bad RAM try to test your RAM by running Memtest by
downloading this tool and unzip it and make a floppy or CD/DVD and run it on
Reboot.

You may need to reposition/reset the RAM sticks in their slots.
After that you could do a repair install, and then test.

The approach you are contemplating is not an easy route to a solution:

What changes to hardware / software preceded the commencement of the
problem?

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.


Please post copies of all Error and Warning Reports appearing in the
System and Application logs in Event Viewer for the last boot. No
Information Reports please.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy
and paste. Often the link will, however, say there is no further

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer.Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.
