Blue Screen

Hi. I have started have some kind of problem that I do not really
understand. I've started getting the blue screen that says Windows has
detected a problem and is shutting down to prevent damage. The error
message is a follows: Stop:0x000000008E ()xC0000005, 0x80568654,
0xEF78FC8C, 0x0000000000) Is there a driver problem or what. I have run a
virus check and nothing shows. I have uninstalled all of my most recent
installs and have cleared my startup task bar of all unneccary files. I
would appreciate any help. Thanks, Ray

If this comes through more than once I apologize. I received a sending
error so will try again
I just had another blue screen with the following message
Stop: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XEF9EF008, 0XF4DBA214, 0X00000000)
kmfixer.sys - Address EF9EF008 base at EF9D6000, Date Stamp 41107d32

Then when I rebooted I received the following error message
MSMPEng.exe application error: A breakpoint has been reached (0X80000003)
occurred in the application at location 0X5a28dea4

MsMpEng.exe is the Windows Defender Auto-Protect Service that is the core
engine of Windows Defender, which is part of Microsoft AntiSpyware software.
Windows Defender is still in beta 2 phase, so do not be too surprised when
you encounter errors. Uninstalling Windows Defender may solve the problem.
In general, you should not install beta software on your main computer.

I just had another blue screen and this time got some added info. The
complete error message is:
Stop: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XE9EF9EF008, 0Xf4DBA214, 0X00000000)
kmfixer.sys - Address EF9EF008 base at EF9D6000, Date Stamp 41107d32

When I rebooted I also received the following:

The last blue screen had additional information that might help:

Thanks. That seems to have solved the problem. I have not had an episode
since I deleted it. I've learned a lesson. Ray
