I have a very tired and slow Windows XP Pro system. I wanted a new clean
system to see if I had hardware or software issues. I picked the original XP
Home that came I am am running a very slow and tired XP Pro system. I wanted
t load awith the system to do the tempary install. My C; (boot drive) and a
data drive are in swappable trays. I do a ghost image once every couple of
weeks and during the remaining time the second trayed drive is a data drive
which get image less often,

I took the backup C:drive image disk and formatted and partitioned it using
theSegate Wizard (Ialso did a format using the disk management program in
Windows. Each time I try to install Windows XP Home it boots from the CD and
the says it is booting windows and then I get the solid blue screen with a
message. This is parts of the long message:

"A problem has detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damgage to your
computer,"

Tecnical info:
*** Stop: 0xF70000007B (0XF7C7A524, 0X00000034, 0X00000000,0X00000000)

The disk I am using to install the Windows system on was a perfectly good
boot disk with windows xp pro on it before I partitioned and formatted it.
If any one can shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

I am sure that the actual error message was just as shown. It had the item
"Technical info: " *** Stop: 0xF70000007B (0XF7C7A524, 0X00000034,

If there is any doubt that I might have mis-read the error message I will
try it over later today.

It had several lines above it with info like I showed in the first message.

Thanks for your response.
