ok, here it goes... when i try to boot up windows it gives me the options of; Safe Mode, Safe w/networking or Last good configuration but no matter what i choose i get the blue scrren of death saying theres a problem with the hard drive... fair enough, so i put the xp cd in, boot her up and go to repair, but it says my hard drive is 15gb(its only 10), if i choose repair it gives the afore mentioned screen of death, same result for all other options... but heres the quirk... it gives the same scrren of death on my computer with my girlfriends hard drive(seprate computer and hard drive) but im using it perfectly right now now in her computer... Let me help summarise...

I have no way of accessing dos...I cannot use the cd in any way...my g/f's hd doesnt work in mine, but it does in hers... mine doesn't work in hers...the blue screen death is slowly killing me and without help i will eat my computer in frustration.

Thanks for your time... Please feel free to solve any one of my problems...

if you only have a 10 gig HD, you've probably got an older computer, right.
Cause that ain't much these days. what's the difference your ram and hers,
cpu speed, OS, etc?
