blue screen of death help !

Please help me with this problem. I was running windows 2000. Now I get a
error message when starting windows. stop c0000221 bad image checksum. image
url.dll could be corrupt. Header checksum does not match computer checksum.
I was trying to run a command from F8 to run scan reg but I have been told
that in 2000 you can't do that. Please if anyone knows a fix for this please
let me know.

This could probably work if I had the windows disc, but I don't.....So what
else should I try...a new pc... thanks for your help Dave
