Hi everybody,
Any ideas how to fix a blue screen with error code 0x100000c5?
I have this brand-new computer HP with Vista Home (not even a month
old). I bought the upgrade to Vista Buisness, but it upgraded it to Vista
Ultimate. Now, everytime that I:
1. have an application that requires attention, like for example:
* open Notepad,
* write something,
* go to File -> Save
2. Ask for a shut down,
3. A black screen appears saying that there are open applications and that
I will loose info if I continue, but I click on the shutdown button anyway,
Then:
* The next time I try to turn the computer on I get a blue screen just
before the User Logon screen, with an error code of 0x100000c5 (0x00, 0x02,
0x01, 0x81ce88d9).
* The next time I try to turn the computer, there is a 50% chances I get
the blue screen again.
* The third time I try to turn the computer almost always work.
... HOWEVER ...
If I first close all open applications and then shut down the computer,
everything works well. This tells me that this is not a hardware or driver
issue.
If it were just a mere user, everything would be under control. But
this is the director's company PC. Any help is greatelly appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!!!
