Blue screen error at shutdown

I am getting a blue screen error at shut down after installing vista home
premium. I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL line and the tech info ***STOP
0X0000000A(0X000000B0,0X00000002,0X00000000,0X81C11BAF). I also get the info
to disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. The rep from
vista said not to do that. I have tried everything short of calling the geek
squad. Please help.

Don't waste your money on the Geek Squad. Only MS can fix the current state
of bugs with Vista. I have the same problem after a total clean install.
After I resume the PC from sleep, sometimes the computer blue screens at
shutdown, or randomly shortly after. But it is never consistent. If you
search these forums, many people are having trouble with Vista and BSOD's
Microsoft better get busy fixing these problems! My computer never had a BSOD
until I installed Vista.

Thank you for the heads up, they do need to get on the ball and address that
problem.

This could be caused by malfunctioning hardware like defect memory for
example, have your pc diagnosed for hardware problems.

There is nothing wrong with my memory or hardware. Checks out fine. This can
also be caused by poorly written software and drivers as well. Maybe the MS
programmers should be diagnosed! <g>

I upgraded two brand new idential machines...on 1 I didn't have the
NVIDIA disk so I downloaded the driver, installed it, no BSOD. On the
2nd, I had the NVIDIA disks, installed it, BSOD every time. It's
something in the NVIDIA package that is doing it I'm sure as my 2
machines are identical except for that. The 2nd one also shutsdown
randomly all by itself for no reason. No fix for 3 months...annoying..
