The following is a verbatim copy of all the text that was on the big blue
screen three nights ago on my dad's computer. If anyone knows what it all
means and has a suggestion as to a fix please reply to this so that I can
help him along a bit. Cheers

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. If this is the first time you
have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen

software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your
hardware or software manufacturer for any updates you need. If problems
continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable
bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe
mode to remove or disable components restart your computer. Press f8 to
select advanced start up options, and then select safe mode. Technical

Right you are, David, didn't notice that at first. It also seems to indicate
a problem with Intel Application Accelerator. Might have been a victim of
one of the older versions that didn't support XP correctly.
