Blue screen closing down

When I close down "turning PC of" I get a blue screen
with either of these 2 messages;

1. IRQL-not-less-or-equal
2. Page-fault-in-non-paged-area

After the blue screen counts down to expire, the system
automatically reboots and does a scan disk. I believe
that I am virus free according to Norton Anti Virus. I
appreciate any help in stopping this. Thanks. Leo
