Blue Background, Desktop Options have been Disabled

Hey

I am running an Inspiron 1300 Laptop that I've had for about 2 years and
recently my Desktop Background hasnt been coming up and insted getting a blue
background. When i go to change the background everything is disabled exept
for changing the colors. I was wondering if there is a fix to this it would
be greatly appreicated.

Hi Rob,

I am having the same problem (except I have an inspiron E1505 bought in
2006). Did you ever figure it out? Mine has been like this for months and I
can't figure it out.
