OfficeXP Pro uses Outlook 2002. Is there a way to import a list of IP
addresses
for blocking purposes? I'd subscribe to one of the various lists of open
relays
or open proxy servers known for spamming if I could import those IP's in
bulk.

I know I can and have added addresses one at a time to the Junk Mail list or
set up rules. There should be a means of bulk blocking on the client side
of
things!!

It's really ridciulous; pull down 40 or 50 overnight emails and only 4 or 5
are actually something I want.

Bill Gates, how about that option/ability to help you end user customers?

I don't know of anything that will run on Outlook (as opposed to a server)
but I've been really happy with SpamBayes - and it's free!

Outlook does not include IP blocking, but some Outlook anti-spam addins
probably do. That kind of blocking is generally done at the server level.

Adding addresses to the junk senders list is a waste of time, IMO.

I've been using SpamBayes for nearly a year, and it works like a charm. Some
of our users were getting as much as 400 spam messages a week until we
installed SpamBayes for them, which eliminated virtually 100% of their spam.
Besides being free, SpamBayes continues to learn over time, so it just keeps
getting better and better.

Agreed. I'm using InBoxer, which is based on the SpamBayes engine.
