Hey,

My dad got a new laptop with Vista, it's the first time i've ever used it. Gave the laptop a bit of a tidy up, and i blocked a few things from startup using msconfig. On XP, when you first start after using msconfig it says 'you have blocked some items from starting up' and you get the chance to click a little check box to 'not show this message again'. However, on Vista, it seems to come up with the annoying message from the system tray every time it starts.

Any idea's how to get rid of this message?

Cheers.

It should have the tickbox on there too? I use msconfig in Vista and I ticked the box and it went.

You can also use Windows Defender to stop applications, so perhaps give that a go :thumb:

Yep, just type "windows defender" in the start menu and you'll see it.
