blocking ports 136, 137

How can I block ports 137, 136 and 245 in my computer? My
operating system
is XP professional..

Download and install zonealarm www.zonealarm.com
*It's free*
Once installed it will prevent incoming connections from the web - and I
guess... stop the messenger pop ups you are experiencing

Actually, the free version of ZoneAlarm does not stop
popups. You'll need ZoneAlarm Pro for that (which does
cost some money).
