Blocking emails

I had blocked a few and still get the same emails I blocked how can this be

How did you "block" these emails?
You will find that 'blocking' senders does not work as a spam control.
The spammers never use the same sender address twice and you just end up with a large list of blocked senders that you will never hear from again.
Best is to use an ISP with a good spam filter system or purchase and train your own spam filter software. Be aware that all spam filter software has to be trained to recognize spam and this is not an easy job.
