block others from creating additional computer admin. accounts

i need to know how i can prevent someone from creating
additional user accounts on my computer. i am the
computer administrator and have my user account with a log-
on password. my son has somehow gotten into my computer
and created another user account without a password and
enters the computer without permission. the account that
he created, he listed it also as computer administrator so
i was not able to delete it so i put a password on it. now
he cannot enter with his new account. how do i prevent
him from doing this again? HELP!!!!!!!

Don't set him up with an administrator account. If he has an administrator
account, he can do anything. He has the same rights and privileges as your
administrator account. Set him up as a limited user.

For lack of information I'm going by the assumption that your own account
with administrator priviliges is *not* called Administrator.
In that case he has very likely made use of that account by hitting
ctrl-alt-del twice on the welcome screen and logged on as Administrator,
because that Account always exists, but normally cannot be selected, unless
you use the C-A-D trick. Since it initially has no password, it's a piece of
cake.

Now, first order of business is to logon as *your* (administrative type)
account,
right click My Computer, Manage, Local Users And Groups, select *his*
account, bouble click it and on the Member Of tab make it a member of Users
and remove the membership of Administrators (or any other group he might be
a member of). That'll teach him )
He won't be able to create new accounts or 'elevate' his status to higher
authority.
He might however also have problems trying to install software, like games
etc.
Depending on how you want to handle this, you might want to give him that
ability by making him a member of Power Users.
(If Administrators were God, Power Users are semi-gods, so they can do a
lot, but not everything an Administrator can, including still not being able
to create new user accounts.!)
Next put a password on the account Administrator (richt click, reset
password)

That should do it for starters.

In addition to the other replies: if your son can't abide by your rules,
take away his computer privileges. A computer is not a birthright.
